Clean Mobility

The company Bratislavská integrovaná doprava (BID) is from the beginning of the year 2020 until the end of the year 2022 part of a project named Clean Mobility within the cross-border cooperation programme Interreg V-A Slovakia-Austria. The project partners are fulfilling several objectives within the project with a common feature, which is the development and promotion of ecological types of transport.

In BID we have an intention in the project to improve the level of providing information about services offered within the IDS BK and to intensify promotion of public transport. These activities also form the largest part of the project budget of BID. Promotion activities will concern mainly services relevant for Bratislava and Trnava region visitors coming from Austria. At the same time, information materials and campaigns will be relevant also for those citizens living in Slovakia, who are new to using the benefits of the IDS BK.

A major step is the establishment of cooperation with the company Verkehrsverbund Ost-Region – VOR. It is an analogous company to BID, but it organizes an integrated transport system in eastern Austria with a long tradition. Selected project activities will be coordinated with VOR, e.g., marketing campaigns, or the development of an interactive map of cross-border mobility. A prototype map, created within the cross-border project baum2020, can be viewed on the project baum internet website. Together with VOR we want to search for solutions in exchanging data and on-line information about transport. We believe that cooperation will help to integrated cross-border public transport lines in the future.

Other partners of the project Clean Mobility are Regionalmanagement Burgenland (project lead partner, state Burgenland), NÖ Regional (state Lower Austria), city Bratislava and Trnava self-governing region. For your interest, city Bratislava is planning in the project to reconstruct city public transport stops by the Petržalka railway station on Panónska road and BID is aiding with the planning process. Trnava self-governing region is going to reconstruct sections of the Morava bicycle path.

The total Clean Mobility project budget is 3.615.342,24 Euros, of which 3.073.040,90 Euros will be a non-repayable financial contribution from the European regional development fund. The total project budget of BID is 267.279. Euros.
